We know a great lesson plan isn’t just a single resource, it’s multiple, supplementary activities and learning material that make an engaging and complete lesson. When you upload materials to PrepYourLesson, offering a material bundle encourages tutors to purchase or download the whole lesson plan, rather than individual parts.

How do I create a material bundle?

A material bundle should include everything you think will make this lesson great. Ideally, this means:

• Reading material
• Presentations
• In-class practice/assignments
• Homework/supplementary work
• Extra resources/further reading
  

While a material bundle doesn’t need to have all of these elements, the more well-rounded your bundle, the better. This will also increase the likelihood of other tutors coming back for more purchases from you since they know you can provide a wide variety of engaging resources.

The steps to create a bundle are straightforward – simply start the process of creating a new posting under ‘My Materials’ and add all the different files to the product files section.

Tips for making your material bundle stand out

When creating a material bundle, consider how your lesson plan will stack up against others. Here are a few ways to make your lesson both compelling and unique:

• Use real-world connections. Consider creating lesson plans that tutors will find relevant to their students' outside lives.
• Don’t be afraid to get niche. A lesson titled “Traveling to Regensburg” would be much more compelling than “German Travel Vocab”. Being more specific can help you stand out amongst generic or less detailed resources.
• Get creative. Don’t limit yourself to readings and worksheets, toss in a video or news article or supplement the core ideas of the lesson.
